In a case involving an underinsured motorist claim, the firm successfully defended a claim asserting that the plaintiff could claim both liability coverage and UM coverage in an accident caused solely by her host driver. The plaintiff contended the exclusion of coverage violated the terms of the UM statute and additionally that its application violated public policy. The La. Supreme Court denied writs. See the La. Second Circuit opinion here. Easter McGee v. Allstate Insurance Company, et al., 52, 299 (La. App. 2 Cir. 2/18/19), 265 So.3d 773.
